Home Study Progress:

I received our completed home study this evening via email from our social worker. I'm not an expert, but I was so impressed. She did a great job. All we have to do is finish up our 10 hrs. of education and we'll be all set. Matt completed 3 today. I did 2 last week. So, I'm pulling an "all-nighter". Gotta wrap this thing up and get to China!!! Next is the dossier. I hear it's taking about 6 months. Then all the immigration stuff. It looks like we are still approx. 10 months away from travel.
I am so excited. I have had such a peace lately. My friend Jaci told me that she has been praying that God would prepare Ashlyn's heart for us. This has been my exact prayer too. She said that she had prayed the same thing for their little Mia & when she had learned some English, she told Jaci that God told her in China that everything was going to be ok. She was only 3 years old. That's amazing.
I also just wanted to thank our friends the Culloms, Putigna's, Grandstaff's, Radcliffe's, & Anderson's for writing our reference letters. You guys are the best! Each one of these families have been in our lives for more than 10 years. One of them has been my best friend for the past 27 years. 4 out of the 5 have adopted children, or are also in the adoption process. Some domestic, some foreign. They have all been a huge support to us. We are eternally thankful.
