Who's Coming With Me?

I have had this clip in my head for so long. It really is quite insightful. Have you ever had any moments like this? I've been thinking of my "Jerry Maguire" moment for a long time. I have imagined myself walking into a certain "place" and looking at a certain "group" of people and saying quite the similar thing... And getting pretty much the same reaction. :) (And just for the record, I am not talking about my church.)

I grew up in the heart of the Bible belt... Brentwood, Tennessee. (I moved to FL with my fam after high school in '94.) It was a great childhood. We had a great life. My dad worked for a large automotive company and my mom was a stay-at-home mom. She taught piano and did catering from our home. My parents made a good living, but they did not spoil us. I have learned so much from the way they raised us. When Matt and I got married, he was working for Universal Studios in their HR department. We realized pretty fast that climbing the corporate ladder was not something we wanted to pursue. That's when his parents coerced him into the family real estate business...something he had tried to stay away from. It was inevitable. Well, slowly but surely we started to "arrive"...if you know what I mean. Life was good. Nice house, nice cars, nice vacations, nice date nights, private school for the kids... Before we knew it we were hanging with quite the elite crowd. La-tee-da, right? It consumed us like a disease. We racked up over $120,000 in debt during those couple of years. I still don't know how. We weren't paying attention, that's how! Anyhow, we woke up and realized we were in over our heads. We pulled the kids out of the private school, homeschooled them, sold a car, got rid of the country club membership, said bye-bye to eating out & our social lives, and started eating beans & rice, rice & beans. Thank the Lord for Dave Ramsey! Within less than 22 months, the debt was GONE. What an amazing adventure that was. So, when I say that I KNOW Who my Provider is, I mean I KNOW. He showed up big time. Don't get me wrong. It was HARD. It was SCARY. It was VERY STRESSFUL. But it was also exciting and we have never been so completely dependant on the Lord as we were during that time... Hanging on for dear life.

Since that time, we have never gone back. We have had ZERO desire to live that way again. I look at those we left behind and wonder... How long until they crack? Are they enjoying themselves? They don't seem happy. They don't look happy. They don't talk like they're happy. They seem so lonely, yet they stay. Do they know they can escape?

THAT'S my "Jerry Maguire" dream. I wish that I had the guts to stand before them and yell, "I'm gettin' the heck outa' this place! Who's comin' with me?!" I think they'd all stare at me in pitty like Jerry's colleagues did. But there's always that one little guy who's willing to take a chance on you. Sometimes that's all you need; just one, right?

There has been a stirring going on in our hearts & heads for the past couple of weeks. That's the only way I know to describe it. It sounds kinda "buzzy" & our adrenaline is pumping. My heart sometimes feels like it's one of those hotwheels zip cars that when you pull the zipper, the car goes flying across the floor... We're not sure of the "Where, When, How, or What" just yet, but we know it's coming soon.

Please keep us in your prayers.

Blessings,
Rebecca

Prayer Requests:

Abigail Elizabeth Mulvahill

If you ever have a prayer need that you'd like to share, please do so. I will be posting more of our own on a more regular basis. Today I am moved to ask for prayer on behalf of the mulvahill family. We all follow along on many of the same blogs, so you may already know this, but their little Abby who has only been home for a short time, has been diagnosed with a form of Leukemia. You can imagine their heartache today. God knows. He's not way out in space shaking His head in confusion. "He is near to the broken hearted" (Psalm 34:18). And "He has great plans" for Abby's life on this earth, short or long as it may be (Jeremiah 29:11-13). Let's be vigilant to hold them up to Him in prayer today and in the days to come. They have a lot on their minds right now. Let's also ask the Lord for peace for the entire family.

Hope Peacock (2nd from the left) and her family

Please pray for the Peacock family. He is the Pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel in Calgary, CA. Their 9-year-old daughter, Hope, had minor surgery in December. After coming home from the hospital, her mother went in to wake her up the next morning (Dec. 14) and Hope was unresponsive. They called 911. Hope had a heart attack on the way to the hospital. She has damage on 60-80% of her brain. Please lift up this family and their precious one.

I am asking for prayer for our family as well. Not for health, but for financial provision. God has been faithful to us and He never changes. We trust His plan for our lives. We need some closings to happen, specifically one that Matt is working very hard on right now. Bills are coming and the well has run dry:) This is how it goes in the ever changing world of real estate. We've been doing it for more than 14 years. You'd think we'd be accustomed by now! It's hard, but God is good, and we are so incredibly thankful for work!!! My husband is such a hard worker. Please pray for him.

Blessings,
Rebecca

PS, If you're a regular reader of my blog and haven't joined as a member, will you quickly do that so that I can get to know you? I just did the same thing myself yesterday. It took me all of like 1 minute to join all of the blogs that I read on a daily basis. It was fun watching their member # rise when I clicked "join". I just finished posting them in my side bar today! I love you my bloggie friends!

Count Me In!

The Block children; serving full time with their mom & Dad at the Eagles Nest Orphanage in Guatemala. If you want to donate money to this great ministry, please visit their blog listed below. They need us!!!

Matt and I went out for coffee Monday night... Left the kids with my in-laws. We were talking about whether or not it's wrong to buy/have frivilous things, or even a little latte here and there when we are aware of so much need around us and in other parts of the world where people are suffering and dying. Why are we so numb to it? This conversation came from reading Amy Block's blog yesterday. According to scripture, we are to visit the orphans and widows in their distress and keep ourselves unstained by the world. (James 1:27). The sin of those in Sodom was that they were arrogant, overfed, and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy... therefore God did away with them. (Ezekiel 16:49). Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God (Proverbs 14:31). If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? (1 John 3:17).

We are just slow to get it sometimes, unless it directly affects us. We are immersed in our culture and it is hard to see anything outside of it sometimes. I was SHOCKED to hear that in some parts of this country there is still racial division going on. In a small town in Mississippi, just 4 years ago, there was a documentary filmed on this town's FIRST EVER blacks/whites combined prom. It stirred up a hornets nest amongst the community. Many of the students were ok with it, and some of them welcomed it, but several of the parents were fit to be tied. Hearing the things that came out of their mouths shocked me. It's like they are stuck in a time warp. How does that happen??? They don't "get out" much, that's how. They are stuck in a rut of sin, passed down from generations before them and trapped under the fear of what other's will think if they stray from it. They are short-sighted and ignorant. I think we are all short-sighted and ignorant in some areas of our own personal lives. It just seems like some things should be more obvious than others; like racial discrimination and starving, fatherless children. And don't even get me started on abortion in America and how many of the same people who would fight for a "woman's right to choose" are usually the very same people forking over great sums of money for the sake of the dolphins and whales. Kill the unwanted babies, but make sure your dog has organic food and a designer wardrobe.

It's also necessary to recognize that not every believer has delighted himself in the things of the Lord. "Delight yourself in the Lord; and HE will give you the desires of your heart. TRUST also in HIM and HE will do it." (Psalm 37:4-5). There is a big difference in the fruit of a believer who has surrendered his life to Christ and the one who is still very much a slave to this world. Being sold out for Christ calls us to action and we are moved from within to do something. When we are listening expectantly through prayer & reading the scriptures to hear from Him we open ourselves up to receive His calling. If you're not asking Him for direction on where He wants you to go, you won't (in your humanness) just be willing to say, "Here I am Lord, send me!" Your thought process may go something like this, and I know this because these have been my thoughts: "Oh, I couldn't do anything to sacrifice the safety of my children, or take them away from their life here where they have sports and friends and a great education and good health & happiness. I don't want for them to resent us or God for taking their "lives" away from them. I mean, God wouldn't want that right? He wants us to be happy and safe, doesn't He? I mean, that's why He gave us this great life, right? So we could enjoy it. He wants us to enjoy this great life that He's blessed us with and we are very thankful. We help people in need. When I see homeless people I stop and give them some cash if I have it. When we hear of someone in need, we reach out to try and help. When my kids outgrow their toys & clothes I try to give them to someone who really needs them, I take meals to people, we serve faithfully at our church, we give money to charities, we support missionaries, we tithe, we pray, we...." Sound familiar?

Let me introduce you to Caleb & his buddy Joshua, my new Bible superheroes...
God told Moses to send out some men to spy out the land of Caanan, the promised land that God was giving to them. So they did. They returned 40 days later with the fruit of the land. They said, "Oh it was certainly filled with great fruit, milk, and honey BUT the people who live in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified, and very large, and..."
Then Caleb (one of the men who spied the land) spoke up and said, "We should by all means go up and take possession of it, for we will surely overcome it."
Then the other men said, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are too strong for us. They will devour us... Our wives and children will become plunder."
Then all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night. ALL the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron and said, "We would have been better off dying where we were in Egypt! Why is the Lord doing this to us? Our wives and children will die! We'd be better off going back to Egypt where we were slaves! Let us appoint a new leader and head back to Egypt!"
Moses and Aaron fell on their faces in the presence of the entire assembly.
Joshua and Caleb tore their clothes and spoke up and said, "The land which we passed through to spy out is exceedingly good land. If the Lord is pleased with us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us. Do not rebel against the Lord; and do not fear the people of the land, for they will be our prey. Their protection has been removed from them, and the Lord is with us; do not fear them."
The congregation wanted to stone them, but the glory of the Lord appeared to all the sons of Israel. In a nutshell, He wanted to wipe out the grumblers, but Moses spoke up on their behalf; "Lord, you are slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but You will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and forth generation." Moses asked the Lord to pardon the people according to His lovingkindness and He did. But God said, "Surely all the men who have seen My glory and My signs which I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness, yet have put Me to the test these 10 times and have not listened to My voice, shall by no means see the land which I swore to their fathers, nor shall any of these who spurned Me see it. BUT, my servant Caleb, because he has had a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it."
The Israelites still grumbled along the way to the promised land and the Lord heard every bit of it. He said to Moses,  "Tell the people: Your corpses will fall in this wilderness, even all your numbered men, according to your complete number from 20 years old and upward, who have grumbled against me. Surely you shall not come into the land which I swore to settle you, except Caleb and Joshua. Your children however, whom you said would become prey- I will bring them in, and they will know the land which you have rejected."

That really spoke to me. I heard God say, "Rebecca, when I call you to do something, trust Me. I am in control, not you. If I ask you to do something for Me, I have not forgotten your children. I will take care of them. I am their protector. Your obedience to Me is their protection and also yours." Who do we really think we are? The worldly thoughts that I mentioned above were mine just a few short years ago, and honestly, they still creep in every once in a while. Just last week I told Matt that if it weren't for our kids, I'd not hesitate for one second to move to EE or China to serve full-time in an orphanage. Matt reminded me that although he cares about our kids, if God calls us to do just that, we're going and the kids will be just fine. Then I read Numbers 13 & 14 (scripture above) on Monday. That's one of the really awesome things about God. He knows our thoughts. So when we go digging in His word, He guides us to exactly where we need to be.

So to wrap this up...
I believe God has called all believers to act. He calls us all to lay down our lives, daily. We all "know" this. We just don't always acknowledge it. However, we will be held accountable. We choose not to look at the ugly things in this world that don't directly affect us. It is a choice because we all know it's there. It really does exist. And we really do have excess. I picture standing before the Lord and giving an account for my life and saying, "Lord, I could have given so much more." I fear that I will have great regret and shame for keeping so much of what God has blessed me with for myself when I could've shared it with someone in need. There is great reward for our faithfulness and sacrifice. The Bible says so. "Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done" (Proverbs 19:17). "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased" (Hebrews 13:16).  "In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35).

Proverbs 24:12
"Once our eyes are opened, we can't pretend we don't know what to do. God who keeps our hearts and weighs our souls, knows what we know, and holds us responsible to act."

Rebecca

Happy 13th Birthday Ashlyn!!!

Tonight we celebrated Ashlyn's birthday for the very last time without her. This time last year we were celebrating too. We had just received PA on the 17th, which was already the 18th in China. I remember opening up my email and seeing the "congratulations!" and I burst into tears; overwhelmed by God's goodness towards us. Then late that evening I received an email from a family who had just brought home a 13 year old girl from China. They were having such a hard time and it scared us to death. We were not at all prepared for the things that typically come with older child adoptions. We had no idea what we were getting into. We just felt God leading us toward this young girl so we decided to proceed in faith that God would show us the way. Well, as you may know, we took some time to pray and we did not have peace at that point to continue, so we backed out. I was especially devastated, but oddly relieved at the same time. But as time went on and I started learning more and more and advocating for her, I began to wonder if it was really over. When people would contact me wanting to know more about her, I felt so protective of her. I wanted so badly to know the family who would commit to her so that I might get the chance to meet her one day, or at least know how her life was turning out. Deep down in my heart I knew that she was ours.

Hopefully she got her cake, and hopefully they took some pictures to send us, and HOPEFULLY we will hear back from her soon. That would just be so amazing!

Rebecca

Depraved Indifference

These are my sentiments exactly. The Lord spoke to me while I was watching that episode of Oprah 7 years ago... Ya know, the one with Lisa Ling and the "Dying Rooms" documentary about the precious Mei Ming? He said, "Rebecca, these are someone's children. And if not someone's, they are mine and I love them. Now, what are you going to do about it?" My eyes were opened. I've never been the same. I've never forgotten Mei Ming's face and her raspy moans for help and her sunken eyes and the cloth that was draped over her as she lie alone on that slab of concrete. When I rock my babies to sleep, change them into a clean diaper, give them a bath, feed them, read to them, pray over them, HUG AND KISS ALL OVER THEM, I think of her and the millions of others just like her and I pray, "Lord, make this love big enough to reach out to the orphans all over this world tonight. Let them feel this kind of love right now. Hover over them, may your Spirit give them comfort, rest, peace..." I can not think of anything else today. Can you?

Deep in prayer today,
Rebecca

My Mountain Top

...That's what this blog is all about. You know, like climbing to the top and screaming to the world from the top of your lungs, kind of mountain top. Yes, family facts are fun, but more importantly, it's about spreading awareness for a great need in this world; the need for someone to rescue the lost and lonely. That could be anyone without the Savior, so I do mean "the lost and lonely" in every sense of it's meaning. And our God is BIG. He is mighty to save...
Adeye's blog really hit home for me today, as it usually does. Matt and I have felt the Lord stirring our hearts towards something more than the "American Dream" for a very long time. We have asked the Lord to show us where, when, how... for a very long time. When adoption opened up for us, I knew it would be bigger than just 1 adoption. The Lord has given me several visions in my life and one of them has always been that I have never had a set number in my head of how many children we would have. I have always just thought of that as God's way of saying, "Leave it up to Me". Well, something is brewing y'all. We don't know what yet, but doors are opening, conversations are happening, blogs are speaking and we are AWAKENED. We have prayed the prayer, "Here we are Lord, send us!" and "Break our hearts for the things that break Yours." He has heard our prayers and one of them He has already answered. Our hearts are broken for the lost and lonely. Whether it's a wayward family member, a lost neighbor, a muslim friend, or an orphan in China. He has brought these things into our path and we love these people deeply. Our hearts ache for them to know the love of the Savior and the healing power in His touch.

When I read Adeye's post today my thoughts were, "Ok, so we are awakened to do something. We hear you Lord and we are willing. Now what?" Do y'all feel the same way? Are you sick and tired of making money, saving money, spending money, buying things, collecting things, running the rat race, burning the candle at both ends? What's it all about? Who's it all for? How is it making a lasting impact in the lives of others? Does it give glory to God or to me? That's a really tough thing to chew on. I dare you to be honest. I dare ME!
We were a part of a very wealthy school for a few years, and the church associated with it for SEVERAL. We woke up one day and said, "What are we doing here? This doesn't feel quite right. This isn't making us as happy as we thought it would. In fact we're feeling rather sick to our stomachs about it." We did the unthinkable and we... walked away. Not from church altogether, of course. We just found one that was passionate about teaching God's Word and discipling the believers.

I have no idea what God has in store for our future, but I can tell you this much, I could care less about the hardwood floors, pool, &  new furniture I used to dream about. It's nowhere on my list these days. I am ready to get to work y'all! I am ready to spend the rest of my life fighting for those children in cribs in Eastern Europe, China, Africa... I agree with those who have spoken up about the celebrities who get so much attention. How about those who spend millions saving the animals? What about saving the humans? I agree with Adeye, we are missing the obvious here. Why should we sit back and give up? Our God is mighty to save and He is on our side! With God NOTHING is impossible.

Blessings,
Rebecca

More Birthday Fun...

Disclaimer: We do not have big birthday parties for our kids every year. We always celebrate with family, but we feel it is not necessary to have extravagant parties every year. This is a special year; being that she is 10. We wanted to make it an important milestone to remember. Most every year I give them the option of having a small birthday party or getting $100 to spend. They usually take the money. It saves us a lot of time and expense and we feel like it just keeps things in better perspective. We want to teach our children that while, yes, they are very special and important, they do not need to be the center of attention in an extravagant way to be celebrated.

Miss Ansley finished up her birthday festivities at the skate center last night with several of her friends. It was great fun! Wednesday's are called "cheap skates" at our skate center, which is why we chose to have it on a school night. It saved us a ton of money and we were pretty much the only ones there.
We dedicated this song to our little butterfly:

They skated from 4-6 and then we all headed back to our house for cake and presents. (You can imagine the condition of my nerves and our home when that was over). I LOVE being out with my kids and their friends, but something happens to little girls when you bring them into the confines of a home... They go crazy! Up and down the stairs, running to and fro, drama, drama, drama... There are still cake crumbs and smears of icing on my kitchen floor.

We still have 1 more big birthday to celebrate this month. Our sweet Ashlyn Hope turns 13 on Saturday. She will be receiving a cake, a letter from us, another family photo, and a self-addressed stamped envelope. We are hoping to hear back from her. If we do, you'll be the first to know!

Also, please take a moment to visit the blog of a great family who are in EE visiting with their sweetie pie for the very first time. They need lots of prayers today. www.yourlovewillcarryme.blogspot.com.

Here's a few more pics!

Our Butterfly with her crazy birthday glasses from Elli and the weird, light-up pacifiers that they sell at the skate center. She just had to have one.

Limbo!

All her ROWDY friends... and a couple of brothers!

Yes, that's duct tape. The newest trend. It was at the top of her wish list and her friend Catie was oh-so-pleased with herself for buying it! They make all sorts of things with it; bracelets, wallets...

I look tired! Hmmm... I wonder why...

Rebecca

My Valentine

To My Valentine,
Thank you for this life we share. Thank you for being a Godly man, my best friend, & an amazing father. Thank you for believing in me and for taking this journey of faith with me. I can not think of anyone I'd rather take it with. Your faith inspires me. Your trust in the Lord makes mine stronger. Your deep convictions stretch me beyond anything I would ever have become without you. The best is yet to come...

All my love,
Bear

Happy 10th Birthday Ansley!!!

Ansley Grace, AKA: Ans, Boo, Piggy, Sweetpea, Sissy

Ansley & her teacher: Mrs. Tosspon

This girl LOVES money:)

Headphones for her iTouch

CUPCAKES:)
It's so hard to believe that our sweet Ansley is 10. TEN! That's double digits, ya know. I remember when I turned 10. It was a big deal. We celebrated tonight with family: Grandma & Grandpa, John & Gran, Cat & Bubba & Jacob, Aunt Char & Daniel, & Ansley's sweet teacher and her hubby Mr. & Mrs. Tosspon. We will have the "real party" with friends on Wednesday at the SKATE CENTER!!! We made baked ziti  (her favorite) for dinner tonight with cheese stuffed breadsticks, salad (for some nutritional value), and chocolate cupcakes! It was a carb-fest!
Our Ansley is such a blessing to so many people. She is an amazing little helper. I filled in in the nursery at church this morning and she and 2 of her friends helped me. Ansley spent the entire time cleaning the countertops, organizing the toys, setting out snacks, and playing with the toddlers. She is very responsible to help out with Averleigh. She sets a great example for her 2 younger siblings and she is always a generous giver. She loves to get money as gifts. She LOVES more than anything to buy things for others though. She is the most thoughtful girl I know. Her name means, "Bringer of the Word of Life". So her daddy picked a scripture to read to her at dinner tonight. 1 Timothy 4:12, "Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, & purity, show yourself an example of those who believe." I thought it was quite fitting.
She is anxious for Ashlyn to get here. My hopes and prayers are that these 2 girls will be so close. She pushed for this adoption like you wouldn't believe when Matt kept saying "no". She wrote him a letter and set it on his desk last summer. I still have no idea what it said, but she wanted this so badly. Please remember us in your prayers. We have such high hopes...
On that note, Ashlyn turns 13 on the 18th! We sent her a cake through Ladybugs N Love. I hope it gets to her on time. We also sent a letter and a recent picture of the family. Pray that they give it to her! We could very possibly receive pictures of her with her cake. OH MY HEART! Please pray. We want some sort of connection to her so badly. We are just ready to get her here and get on with our lives. Please continue to pray for her, that God will prepare her heart for us and especially... For Him.

Blessings,
Rebecca

Averleigh's Birthday Party

I hate change! I am trying to get used to the new Blogger format and it's driving me nuts. I am a creature of habit and not very computer literate. As soon as I finally had it down (posting pictures, clips from Youtube, putting in captions, etc...) they thought they needed to "improve" things and it's completely thrown me for a loop! UGH! How do you post captions now??? When I click on the picture it doesn't give that option anymore. Also, I started typing text and then posted the pics, but it decided to place the text beneath the pictures (which btw, are not in the order I wanted them either!!!). How do you grab videos from Youtube now??? I need help. Anyone???
These are a few pictures from Av's birthday party. She had so much fun. My mom made the most delicious strawberry Minnie Mouse b-day cake ever!!! Averleigh got lots of great gifts and all of the people she loves were there... Everyone except for her "buddy" Noah. Noah is Alex's friend and miss Av is completely smitten. He really is a sweetheart and quite the cutie. She has great taste! He bought her a pretend Minnie Mouse cell phone so that she can call and talk to him whenever she wants. It's so funny! I was rocking her last night and she leaned back, looked at me, took her thumb out of her mouth, and with her huge scrunchy nose smile she said, "Noah...cute..."

Rebecca

February 10, 2002

It's 12:20 AM in China. It's already February 10th. 10 years ago a little girl, age 3, was left somewhere all alone. I'm not sure where. Our records say that the Wanzhou SWI director picked her up on this date at the gate of the institution and she has been there ever since.
I know many people think that this is just a way of life for the Chinese; that the birth moms may or may not mourn the loss of their daughters because they are seen as a financial burden. But I have had 4 precious children. I know the deep love of a child. Is it humanly possible to walk away from your child unemotional, unscathed, unmoved? We just gave away a dog and I agonized over that rejection of her for weeks, even though I knew it had to be done. It was a good decision, but it made me feel terrible inside.
Our guess is that Wan Li Hui was loved. She was born with a cleft lip & palate that her parents paid good money to have repaired. There must have been a baby boy born into her home. Her parents must have agonized over their decision to give her up. What else could they do? How my heart aches for them today. Does her mom remember this day when it comes around every year? I wonder...
Because I'm a mom and I know the great love we mom's have for our children, I am going to assume that this mom remembers. My prayers go out on her behalf today.

Blessings,
Rebecca

*URGENT:

Our New Look!

How do y'all like it? I found this great website called, aquapoppydesigns.blogspot.com from another blog and tried applying the FREE design on my blog late last night. I did something wrong apparently and eliminated my "design" option from the dashboard, which is essential for adding the new design on my blog. After hours of pouring over each and every option on my dashboard, I gave in and asked my hubby for help. He fixed it! Yay! So here it is! Isn't it pretty?
Gotta go rock my baby girl. I have so much to write about and not enough time. I'll catch up with y'all tomorrow!

Blessings,
Rebecca

BTW, if you're viewing from your cell phone it doesn't show up;( I wonder why???

Sweetness From Heaven...

Averleigh Elizabeth, AKA: Avie Gravy, Butterbean, Muffin, Muffy, Muffina, Boo, Butter Cup, Sweetest Thing Ever!!!
have you ever seen a more precious thing? Well, next to yours that is! :) Our little "Berger baby" is growing up. Dr. Berger is the guy who did my tubal reversal operation that allowed us to conceive again. After 3 yucky pregnancies and 3 c-sections, we had decided to close up shop and adopt the rest. Dumbest decision we ever made (obviously not the adoption part). Thankfully our Heavenly Father blessed the hands of that physician and He allowed us the awesome gift of another child. She has brought so much joy to our lives. We are ALL crazy about her. She is smart, funny, LOVING, and oh-so-stinkin'-adorable. Look at those chubby legs, squishy nose, and curly locks of hair. And how about those chicklet teeth??? Can you tell I'm in love? She loves to read books. "Brown Bear", "The Wheels on the Bus", & "Goodnight Moon" are her favorites. She is an AMAZING little singer, just like her brother Aidan. She sings along to the songs on our Christian radio station and amazes us. She's been doing that since she was a year old. Her favorite is that one by Jeremy Camp called, "The Way". She also loves anything by Chris Tomlin. We are celebrating her birthday tomorrow night with family and a few close friends.

Blessings,
Rebecca
