The Block Family

This Is the Block Family. I found them on Adeye's blog this past summer when they were raising funds to move their family to Guatemala to serve full-time in an orphanage called, "Eagle's Nest". They are such an amazing family. As you can see, they not only serve full-time at this orphanage, they have adopted quite a few times themselves. They are walking the walk in a radical way. Matt and I admire their faith so much. I keep telling Amy to scope out a place for us:) You just never know what God has in store...
Their need was for 100 people to step out in faith and commit to giving them $25.00 per month for living expenses. This is a small $2500.00 a month. They have how many children??? NINE! (Two of them are away at college.) The Block family left for Guatemala without having reached their goal. They knew God was calling them there and so they stepped out and went anyways, knowing that God would provide. You may not be able to adopt a child yourself, or you may not feel called to adopt, but you can help someone else who is, or someone else who is serving orphans. Would you join us in supporting the Block family? I know you would bless them so much if you took a minute to visit their blog at www.buildingtheblocks.blogspot.com and sign up to be a monthly supporter. Maybe even just tell them you'll commit to praying for them. It is HARD to leave the comforts of home. Amy has been blogging this month about the things she is thankful for. I know she would love to hear from you.

Blessings,
Rebecca
