"The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."
I found this verse this evening on the "Wild Olive Tee" website and I couldn't believe how completely fitting it was for my sweet Ashlyn Hope.
On Sunday mornings when we sing, "Mighty To Save" and when I hear it on the radio, I always think of her. I imagine her over there in China, living her life without even knowing the name of Jesus, and I think... How He loves her. He is mighty to save. He has reached down and touched our hearts and opened them up to invite her into our lives and He has said, "This one. This one is mine and I have chosen you to love her." Praise God we had ears to hear.
There is a song that I sing to my kids at bedtime. I've mentioned it here on my blog before. It's "Lord I'm Amazed", by Lincoln Brewster. I have thought of her for so long when I sing this song. Even before we knew she was the one. I imagine Him singing over her while I'm singing over my children, and I pray that somehow she feels the love of the Almighty God, who does indeed sing over her.
So this verse is hers. It couldn't be more perfect. He has great plans for her life. He is mighty to save and He sings over her. I can not wait to meet her. I can not wait!!!!!
Guess what?
She wrote to us.
It should be here in 2 weeks or less.
I know this much... She addressed it to "mommy & daddy"
I can not tell you how amazing that sounds. We are her mommy and daddy.
She belongs...
Blessings,
Rebecca

Oh my Rebecca!!!!!!! How wonderful that you will get a letter and that it is addressed to Mommy and Daddy!!!! WOW! I often pray that even though these kiddos don't know about the Lord, that they can feel His presence, His comfort and His love.

ReplyDeleteRebecca...Thank you for the kind comments you have left me many times over. I jump in and out to see how things are moving along but I never seem to have enough minutes all at once to comment too much anymore!! I'm so excited for you that she sounds excited to be joining your family. Prayers that paperwork continues to move and she is home very soon. She will be so loved by your special family. Blessings, Jennifer
