Song of The Day

"Where I Belong", by Building 429

Do y'all feel this way too? When I hear this song, my heart agrees... Yes. This is not where I belong.

Are you one of those people who haven't bought into the whole "Christian thing" because you see so much ugliness in Christians? Yes. It's true. We're all just a bunch of sinners. Every single one of us. Christians are not sinless. We are still sinners, saved by grace.

I am so grateful.

More on this later...

  1. Morning Rebecca - yeah - I get that. One of the reasons I've had touble "matching" myself with any particular Church - just about the time I think I've found one something happens to remind me that the leaders of that church are mere mortals too...just the human condition I guess but still...

    hugs - aus and co.

  2. Hi Aus! No perfect people. No perfect church;)
How's the saying go?... "If you find the perfect church don't go there, cuz you'll mess it up." Ha.
Thanks for leaving comments here all the time! I love hearing from you guys. Is your wife back to blogging yet?

  3. BTW, do you have a Harvest Bible Chapel near you? If so, I recommend it. They are all founded by James MacDonald, who is passionate about teaching the Word of God and discipling believers. It's true Bible study. Not a bunch of fluff, which is what seems to be so prevalent these days in too many churches. Kay Arthur has said, "If your church only teaches the good news, you're not hearing the whole story." Jesus came to save the lost. It is free for ALL who believe. However, so many people desire the Savior without the King. He is one and the same. It's a package deal. Can't have one without the other. We also have to stop defining God by what we see or don't see in the church. We worship a perfect God, not a church or a set of doctrinal beliefs. The church will let you down. People will let you down. God will never fail you. There is none righteous...no not even one.

I love feedback from my bloggy friends, so comment away and I'll visit your blog too! However, if you're just lurking anonymously and leaving snarky remarks, this isn't the blog for you. My heart is always to reflect the love of Jesus and be a source of encouragement to others. If anything you read here gives you a check in your spirit, please feel free to lovingly disagree with me in grace:)
