Averleigh's Birthday Party




I hate change! I am trying to get used to the new Blogger format and it's driving me nuts. I am a creature of habit and not very computer literate. As soon as I finally had it down (posting pictures, clips from Youtube, putting in captions, etc...) they thought they needed to "improve" things and it's completely thrown me for a loop! UGH! How do you post captions now??? When I click on the picture it doesn't give that option anymore. Also, I started typing text and then posted the pics, but it decided to place the text beneath the pictures (which btw, are not in the order I wanted them either!!!). How do you grab videos from Youtube now??? I need help. Anyone???
These are a few pictures from Av's birthday party. She had so much fun. My mom made the most delicious strawberry Minnie Mouse b-day cake ever!!! Averleigh got lots of great gifts and all of the people she loves were there... Everyone except for her "buddy" Noah. Noah is Alex's friend and miss Av is completely smitten. He really is a sweetheart and quite the cutie. She has great taste! He bought her a pretend Minnie Mouse cell phone so that she can call and talk to him whenever she wants. It's so funny! I was rocking her last night and she leaned back, looked at me, took her thumb out of her mouth, and with her huge scrunchy nose smile she said, "Noah...cute..."

    Hey Rebecca - first off - Happy Birthday A!!

    In re blogger - I hate it too! That's why I put the pictures on a different server and post a link to the pictures! As for the video - open a second browser and go to the video. In the first browser open the post to edit that you want the video in. In the first window (the one with the video loaded)highlight the URL and then right click on the URL line and select copy. Go to the window with the post opened, right click in the edit window and select "paste" or "paste URL" - easy enough?

    That's what I did here:
    http://www.anaturalplace.com/family/ and you can click on the link to see the pictures too!

    Do a google search for blogger posting - there are a ton of short cuts out there for stuff like that!

    Well - that shortcut trick obviously doesnt' work any more - it copied the text but didn't save the formatting....I'll let you know if I figure out what they changed again!
