I'm not sure who all is paying attention to my little blog here, but in case you haven't noticed, our Reece's Rainbow donation button has been lighting up like crazy since Monday night.
We sent out an update to ALL of our friends and family last week, telling them about where we are and how much we still need in order to travel next month to get the girls.
We worried how people would receive it, even though everyone has been so supportive.
My brother and his wife were over last saturday and they asked the question, "What will you do if you don't have the money?"
That thought has honestly never entered my mind... Not even ONCE. I have not once worried about the money. NOT ONCE.
While walking up to the church on Sunday morning, I said to the Lord, "Lord, You are going to provide, right?"
Then, on the way home, Matt opened up an envelope from some good friends, and in it was a check for $2,000!
That's when it began...
Monday was a hard day. (Read my last post.)
But Monday afternoon and Monday night and yesterday and today...
OH MY GOODNESS!!!
Do you see our RR button?! It started at $2,650 on Monday morning and now it is at over $9,000! And that's just the people who have actually gone on there and donated. Several others have called and said they are going to send us a check in the mail.
Then we got word today that we were approved by an organization for a grant!
Matt has been working his butt off for 3 days straight, picking up deliveries from people all over town for our big fund-raising garage sale that we are having this weekend.
We are hoping to raise at least $1,000. Our garage is FULL to the brim with all kinds of furniture and toys and clothes and stuff from dozens of friends and family members.
Praise God for the body of Christ! What would we do... where would we be without it?
We still have a ways to go... but we will get there...
I have no doubt that God will provide every last penny!!!
