Inspiration and a BIG Prayer Request...

Matt and I watched this tonight on ESPN e:60. We were so inspired. I can not wait to get miss Abby Joy home and learn all about her. I wonder what her personality is like. I hear a lot about how children with DS can have very "spicey" personalities;) How funny is that? We like spicey! She should fit right in!

Enjoy and be inspired...

I talked with our agency today. Apparently there has been a mix up and immigration has still not received our updated homestudy that they requested over a week ago when our SW went on vacay. I don't know why they never received it in the first place and I haven't gotten any clear answers on that. Oh well. Mallory (our amazing SW @ Lifeline) told me that tracking records show that they (immigration) received it on September 26th, yet it has failed to show up on the officer's desk. He needs to approve it so that we can get approval and get moving on the next step... article 5. In the middle of this little issue, China takes a week long vacay themselves next week.

What does this mean to us?

Most likely DECEMBER travel;(

As I've said before, as soon as we get close to that carrot, the horse takes off and we get behind again.

Is it ever going to happen for us? On December 17th it'll have been exactly 2 years that we began this process.

Here's the cool part...

We are ok. We know God is in control. None of these things are a surprise to Him. He knows our need. We have placed our needs at His feet and He will show us the way. He will provide.

We still do not have the $26,000 we so desperately need to travel.

December just gives us more time.

So as for the REALLY BIG PRAYER REQUEST...

Remember how I mentioned in an earlier post that all it would take is 1 big sale? And that Matt has had a listing for over a year and a half, listed at 2.9 million? And that it is so over priced and has had only 2 showings EVER? And that the owners (the Robbins family) are sweet friends who love the Lord and God has clearly told them that they will receive this amount? And that Matt and I don't see how it's likely since it's valued at about a third of that price, yet who are we to argue with what they feel the Lord has said to them?

Well, I've been really praying about that listing. Seriously praying. Specifically praying.

Someone even asked us about that listing at church on Sunday and I said, "Funny you should ask... Would you please pray about that?"

So tonight as we were having our family prayer time, Matt prayed that the showing of the Robbin's home would go well tomorrow. I interrupted him and said, "What?! They have a showing tomorrow?!" He had forgotten to share that small tid bit of info... MEN.

I don't want to get my hopes up, but all I can think of is that we serve an awesome God, and He has heard our prayers. He will provide. I can't wait to see what He's going to do. And when that happens, we will give Him all the glory.

Please continue to pray for us.

Blessings,
Rebecca
