"A Place Called Simplicity" Project...

Do y'all know Linny? She has a great love for her Savior and also for the orphan. She has adopted several times herself and she and her hubby have an orphan ministry that they serve in full time. Linny has been doing a series on her blog about God's great hand of provision in adoption. Matt and I have enjoyed reading her 4-part series entitled, "God's Not a Dead Beat Dad" and joining in on the days of fasting and prayer. It has been such a blessing to me, as you well know if you are a regular follower of my blog.
Linny has decided to post seven blog links to her adoption blog of families who are adopting more than one child and who are close to traveling without being fully-funded. That's us! Click on the link and read her post. We are listed as "Two Treasure-Girls in China". We have $24,000 to go and we are so excited to see all that The Lord is going to do on behalf of us & our 2 precious Chinese treasures! Thank you Linny!!!

Below is the questionnaire from Linny and our answers:

Ashlyn Hope

Abigail Joy

1. How many children are you adopting? 2
2. What names have you chosen and what are their ages? Ashlyn Hope (13) Abby Joy (4)
      {Please post pictures if able.}
3. Are any of the children you are adopting considered "Special Needs"? Yes. Ashlyn has a repaired cl/cp and Abby has Down Syndrome
4. If yes, specifically what Special Needs?
5. What country or geographic area are you adopting from? China
6. Have you adopted before? No
7. How close to travel are you? We are traveling some time in December, Lord willing
8. Do you attend church regularly? If so, what type of church is it? Yes. We are very involved in our church and serve on a weekly basis in the youth group. I also teach a Precept D4Y Bible study to homeschooled children there weekly. Our church is called "Harvest Bible Chapel" and it is a non-denominational, Bible teaching church.
9. Do you tithe with each pay {at least the scriptural standard of 10%}? We tithe faithfully and joyfully from every single pay check, ALWAYS. Even when we were paying off $120,000 of debt 3 years ago.
10. Yesterday, did you participate in any way with the day of Praise, Prayer by giving praise on the link and then posting your request? I praised God all day long and read through many of the praises.
11. How did you hear about the Link up? I am a regular follower of "A Place Called Simplicity"
12. Is there anything, briefly, that you would like to share with our orphan-lovin', God-honorin', Jesus worshippin' bloggy friends reading this? We can not wait to get our girls home. It's been a very long 2 years and we are SO CLOSE!!! God has been so faithful. Even in a down economy, he has come through and provided an extra $30,000+ for us.  Only $5,000 of that has been through donations. WE still have a long way to go... about $24,000, but we know it will be ok. It's unbelievable and miraculous what God has done so far and we give Him all the glory... ONLY GOD.

*If someone were to sow seed into our adoption fund and for some unforseen reason we were unable to proceed with this adoption, we would absolutely give back 100% of the funds donated! I can assure you that unless the Lord takes us home to be with Him, these 2 sweet girls will be Mckees very, very soon!

Matt and I know Who our Great Provider is and we know He loves us and will make a way for us too, just like He always has and always will. We have seen Him come through for us before when we were paying off debt. if He'd do it for that, how much more will He do it for His precious orphans? We trust in His perfect plan. We would be totally humbled, honored, and eternally thankful to you if you would consider blessing us with your financial contribution!

Blessings,
Rebecca

I love feedback from my bloggy friends, so comment away and I'll visit your blog too! However, if you're just lurking anonymously and leaving snarky remarks, this isn't the blog for you. My heart is always to reflect the love of Jesus and be a source of encouragement to others. If anything you read here gives you a check in your spirit, please feel free to lovingly disagree with me in grace:)
