Summer Vacation 2013, Part 5...

Saying Goodbye To Canada & New Friends...

Ashlyn & Megan... new besties:)

The Rupert's stopped over the night before we left to say goodbyes... Ashlyn cried when they left:(

Mr. Bill knows how to charm the ladies... He is always good for a bear hug and a game of "Mr. Bear" It was so sweet how Abby took to these knew people in her life...

Of course Averleigh couldn't stand by and watch Abby get all the huggin'

"Mr. Bill, please don't go!!!"
Next Stop... MICHIGAN, To Visit My Family...

On Saturday morning we drove 5 hours south to Rochester Hills, MI and stayed with my dad and his wife:) They took us to a great brewery for dinner that night.

Grandad & his little buddy

T.R.O.U.B.L.E.

Sweetest things...

And then of course he had to take us for ice cream afterwards...

\At church the next day, their pastor spoke on adoption and introduced their new adoption/foster care support ministry. It was so touching and so good to hear.

My dad's little sis; Aunt Viv and my awesome Uncle Mike... Two of my most favorite people EVER.

Two of my other most favorite people EVER; Uncle Doug & Aunt Kim. Kim and my mom have been BFF's since kindergarten. They are family.

Hannah made a great Korean meal for everyone on Sunday night! Thank you guys for such a wonderful weekend!!! We love you both so much!!!

We wrapped up a long day of festivities by catching fireflies. I won't say who tried eating one to see if his mouth would light up.

Last Stop... GEORGIA, With My BFF!!!

These kids are WORLD CLASS TRAVELERS!!! It took us 14 hours to get from MI to Lee & Tracy's new house in Athens, GA.

One day we actually decided to venture out and take the kids to a zoo and then to Chick-Fil-A for lunch. The lady waiting on us asked my husband if we were with a camp of some sort:) Between the 2 families, we have a total of 13 children! 13 of the sweetest kids on earth. When we are together our kids stay busy doing all sorts of fun things. They love each other and get along wonderfully. They are truly our family... we call them our "fuzzins". Friends + cousins = fuzzins... Good times... Great memories!

Averleigh & Sarah Bear

Every year this couch gets a little bit fuller... So thankful!!!

Ashlyn & Mary Clare were instant friends. MC prayed for Ashlyn the entire time we were in process to adopt her. She could not wait to have a Chinese relative. She kept staring at Ashlyn in awe the entire first day... So precious. Ashlyn kept calling her "that Chinese girl." These two are going to have such a special friendship. I love how God has woven our hearts together!
Besties since the 5th grade! And we have lived apart since the 7th... I love you Shray-Shray!!! Thanks for being world class hosts!

The End... FINALLY!

Blessings,
Rebecca
