Happy Mother's Day!

To all of you mom's out there...

Here's a little laughter for ya from my 13-year-old son...

Dear Mom,
Happy Mother's Day!!! Well, I've passed you by. (meaning height) I know at times you wanna drown me in the ocean, but that's just showing me how much you want the best for me. Thanks for being the best one!
XOXO,
Alex

My sweet Ansley wrapped up one of her stuffed animals and gave it to me this morning along with a homemade card. (my very favorite) She had been telling Matt all week that she wanted him to take her shopping but somehow... life was really busy... and they never got around to it. Oh well. However, she made me the sweetest breakfast in bed. She set her alarm and got up at the crack of dawn to make me scrambled eggs and toast... ALL BY HERSELF.

At church this morning they showed some of the little ones on the big screen, telling the things that they love about their mommies. My Aidan was one of them. When they got to him he said, "I love my mommy because she talks to me about Jesus." That's the sweetest thing he could've ever said to me. What a precious little guy he is.

I guess that sums up my day.

I sure do love my babies!!!

And no, I have never threatened to drown any of my children. :)

Praising God for this most awesome blessing... MOTHERHOOD. Is there anything better?

Blessings,
Rebecca

  1. Happy Mother's Day Rebecca - and your comment near the end is - in fact - the difference between Mom's and Dad's - we have wanted to drown our kids once or twice - but that's OK - we'd never do it and we're good with it!! He's a guy - he "get's it"! (and you know full well I don't mean it - but I made you laugh!)

hugs around - aus and co.
