Basketball has been our family favorite sport ever since Alex was old enough to hold a ball. He's a natural at it. Matt and I founded our relationship on nosebleed section Orlando Magic playoff tickets 17 years ago...
So when Aidan said he wanted to give baseball a try last fall I was not too excited. We let Alex try it a few years ago and it was not a good fit for him. He was just too intense for the sport. Needless to say, I was not looking forward to it, but Matt said we needed to give him a chance. Well, it didn't take long to see that our little A-Dog was quite the little baseball player. He has a great swing and he's just really intuned with the game. He also had a fantastic coach; coach Kurt.
When it came time to try out for spring ball, we requested coach Kurt again, and unbeknownst to us, coach Kurt requested Aidan. :) So here we are again! Same awesome coach, same great team mom, and AMAZING kids and parents. It was TRULY a FANtastic season!
Last night was our last game. We finally lost one of the tournament games, which means we are done. It was an intense game. We ended up having to go into an extra inning because we were tied. In the end, we lost by 2:( But the kids played great and showed great sportsmanship. We are so proud of our boys. They all attended a Tampa Bay Rays game on Sunday where they were invited to go out onto the field. Such great memories.
