Day 3 and Counting...

I am on day 3 of my new intense workout regime and ALL PROTEIN diet. It's been hard, but amazingly rewarding. My head is in the right place and I have a great trainer. His kids go to the same school as ours and they also go to our church. He made me a great deal since he knew every extra penny has been going towards this adoption. I am scheduled for 3 months and then I am hoping to maintain on my own... I know, it's not likely... Maybe he'll offer me another great deal to stay! :) It really isn't that expensive. I love the energy it's given me. He even offered to let Matt come to the guys classes for FREE. So, he starts tomorrow night. It's so important to be in good health. I think it makes all the difference in the world when you're adding extra pressures to your life, to maintain a great fitness and diet routine. We are already pretty healthy eaters. Matt runs marathons and half-marathons anually. He runs on the West Orange Trail that goes right through our neighborhood several times a week. But we are getting older and I feel the need to gain some strength in my very under-used muscles. Fatigue had been starting to set in. I wasn't able to get up as early as I'd like and that just makes for a more "behind" kind of day. I have been able to roll out of bed at 6:00 AM fairly easily this week and start my day off with the Lord. It just makes the entire day more peaceful.

I hope you are also off to a great new year. We have been reflecting on ALL that our Heavenly Father has done for us and are so humbled at His love for us. He loves us so much. His love doesn't depend on the things we do for Him. He doesn't love us less when we make mistakes, or even when we willfully disobey Him. This is the way we humans think. His ways are not our ways. Thank heavens!!! I am really meditating on that today. He loves us all the same and His love is not conditional. I also listened to a GREAT sermon yesterday by James MacDonald on prayer. IT WAS SO EYE OPENING. Go onto Walk in The Word Ministries website and check it out!

FYI...... We are done with the home study!!! Just got off the phone with Lifeline. On to immigration!!! Here we come Ashlyn!!!

Blessings,
Rebecca

  1. Glad you are off to a good start in 2012!! Remember that it will be tougher to keep to that diet in China - one 'high carb' diet bunch of folks there!

    But somehow I don't think you'll mind....just.sayin'!

    hugs - aus and co.
