Last Friday night at about 11:30 I heard my text messaging honk at me as I was nodding off to sleep. Imagine my surprise when this was what I read:
"I just read your blog... my beach condo is empty this weekend through next. You are more than welcome to use it."
I woke Matt up and said, "You're never gonna believe this..."
Tears...
More tears...
Our friends, Amy & Alex Vastardis, loaned us their 3 bedroom condo on Cocoa Beach for the entire week. We had a birthday party to go to on Saturday night, but we headed home around 9:00 PM, loaded up our Expedition and drove to the beach that night.
It was a PERFECT week...
I'll post more pictures tomorrow, but for now I just wanted to tell the Vastardis's one more time just how huge of a blessing it was to breathe in the salt air and listen to the waves crash along the shore. There is something very healing about being at the beach and we needed it so desperately.
